DISC 4- SINE QUA NON/ THE HUB/ REVELATIONS/ behind-the-scenes featurettes/ Caprica sneak peek

Season 4 is where the storyline is coming to it's conclusion. Four people in the fleet discover they are Cylons (at the end of season 3) and they have to deal with the fact. Meanwhile, Starbuck's return from the dead causes some ripples. Also the Cylons erupt in a civil war as some want to find the final Five (Cylons) and unbox the number three Cylon model who knows the final Five. The rebel Cylons end up striking an alliance with Galactica in finding Earth. The actions set forward by the Cylons and the humans propel the storylines. President Roslin deals with her returning cancer while another character has to deal with an injury during a few episodes. Baltar rises as a head of his nympho group- I mean cult that believes in one God.

The first half of season 4 features some of the finest episodes in the series and if you go back to rewatch RAZOR, you come to realize the first hybrid told the storyline of what was to come in season 4. Each episode is packed full of ideas and storylines that must be resolved (or continue). I love the chaarcter development and yet I still love the action scenes (and space battles) just as well (some Battlestar fans yawn where there are space battles). The last half of season 4 will probably be as jam packed as the series is closing in on it's conclusion. RAZOR does give me a few hints on who the final Cylon may be.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
Disc 1 contains all of the same extras that the standalone release of RAZOR had.

Around an hour of deleted scenes are included in the set. SIX OF ONE has some interesting extended stuff while the next two episodes feature some scenes that could have stayed in or been cut. Disc 3 has some interesting cut material while half of the deleted scenes on THE HUB are intriguing (like Sharon arguing with D'Anna on the Hub and an alternate conclusion to the rescue aftermath).

David Eick's video blogs tease and yet offer no big clues on the last ten episodes of season 4. They are just more fun pieces with bits of humor.

Featurettes are on disc 4-
THE JOURNEY- hints and yet no spoilers about the last ten episodes combining on-set interviews and footage from the San Diego Comic Con panel.
CYLONS: THE TWELVE- the actors talk about the known eleven out of 12 Cylon models.
SEASON 4.5: THE UNTOLD STORY- UNTOLD- hints and still no spoilers about the last ten episodes of the show. the trailer for the last ten episodes at the start of disc e offers more clues (and spoilers).
THE MUSIC OF BATTLESTAR GALACTICA- a misleading tongue-in-cheek featurette with the composer of the series. skip this featurette.
I like the sneak peek for CAPRICA.

Ron Moore's podcast commentaries are featured for all episodes except three. Audio commentaries were recorded for those three episodes:
FAITH with Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore, Supervising Producers Bradley Thompson and David Weddle
GUESS WHAT'S COMING TO DINNER with Ronaald D. Moore and Writer Michael Angeli
SINE QUA NON with Ronald D. Moore and Writer Michael Taylor
Each audio commentary provide insights into the episodes like Ron talks with Michael with things that work and fail (like the invisible cat in SINE QUA NON).

FINAL ANALYSIS: The last 10 episodes have lots to live up to with the first ten of season 4. Plenty of fantastic extras in addition to RAZOR (if you don't already own it).
