INTO THE STORM is an intense film about residents of Silverton and the storm-chasers who get caught up in a big storm of multiple tornadoes.   I enjoyed this film much more than TWISTER.   The tornado special effects along with the practical effects used to create the storm sequences are some of the most gripping scenes in this film.  The story isn’t the best (family drama and the two hick idiots filming stuff on their cell phones to get on You Tube), but the great storm sequences and it being captured on the new cameras & cameras by the characters of the story (found footage) are the best part.  I did care for the storm chasing team of the Titus and the high school kid wanting to score with the girl he has a crush on.  However, the tornadoes and the damage they cause is what I wanted to see the movie for.  I would have traded the fate of one character for the fates of the two hick idiots anytime.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

INTO THE STORM: TORNADO FILES- a look at the various types of tornadoes with famous storm-chaser Reed Timmer and a look at how they created the tornadoes in the movie digitally.

TITUS: THE ULTIMATE STORM-CHASING VEHICLE- a look at the Titus vehicle they created for the movie and also a look at the real storm-chasing vehicle called the Dominator 3.  Interviews with the crew and storm-chaser Reed Timmer

FAKE STORMS: REAL CONDITIONS- a behind-the-scenes look at how they re-created the effects of the terrifying storms in the movie by using wind machines, rain machines, and wire work as you also hear from the cast and crew talk about it

FINAL ANALYSIS:  INTO THE STORM is the intense film that TWISTER should have been with actors you care about even more than TWISTER ever did.
