Hulk is fighting Abomination only to be captured in Hydra’s power experiment to harness gamma rays from the hulk, but things go wrong and it creates an energy life form named Zzzax who wants to devour energy which threatens to destroy the planet.  Hulk and Iron man have to team up to get even a chance to stop Zzzax.

IRON MAN & HULK: HEROES UNITED is a great movie for super hero action, but the story is very thin and you can punch Hulk sized fists through the story.   Somehow Iron man has a floating SHIELD hover carrier with many Iron Man suits and SHIELD jets onboard while Hydra takes a backseat once Zzzax is created.   This 71 minute CG animated movie is basically a series of fights and teaching the value of team work between two different kind of characters who have their own strengths which can create an awesome team up when they learn to work together. This CG animated film might not appeal to all animation fans who are expecting the animation of the first AVENGERS series or some of the recent SPIDER-MAN animated shows.  This is basically a short animated feature to turn off your brain and enjoy the action.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

MARVEL TEAM-UP WITH RYAN PENAGOS AND JOE QUESADA- the Chief Creative Office for Marvel Comics (Joe Quesada) and Ryan Penagos (Agent M on Twitter) discuss marvel team-ups and the Avengers team members

MARVEL MASH-UPS- a humorous take from clips from old Marvel cartoons featuring Nick Fury, Dum Dum Dugan, Iron Man/ Tony Stark, Rick Jones, Betty Ross, and the Hulk

Marvel Inter-missions display an addition 11 minutes of MARVEL MASH-UPS not included in the bonus content menu (and the IRON MAN animated stuff is very funny) every time you pause the movie.

Also included in this combo pack is the animated movie on DVD (which ahs no extras) and digital copy digitalcopyplus.com (works with iTunes).

FINAL ANALYSIS:  The computer animation is too simple at time, but the story is OK as long as you turn off your brain sometimes and enjoy all of the destruction and Hulk smashing.
