A team of parapsychologists investigate a series of paranormal phenomena ata  family's apartment.   They document everything with various cameras and soon various things start happening.  is it a ghost?  Is a poltergeist at work?
APARTMENT 143 (EMERGO) is a surprisingly chilling film.  It is more effective and scary than any of the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY movies.  The characters aren't annoying and feel like real characters.  APARTMENT 143 doesn't rely on cheap scares and it builds as the movie goes on.  The parapsychologists think they have it right on what is going on, but the movie clues the viewer on what is going on.  It is a nice horror film to rent.
MAKING EMERGO (APARTMENT 143)- a making-of featurette which is covers the various things in the other featurettes on the disc
SPECIAL EFFECTS- a look at the various physical effects and the green screen work used to enhance a couple of scenes.

VISUAL CONCEPT-  the director, director of photography, and cast talk about using various camers to get the look of the movie and how sometimes they needed to use the cast to be holding the actual cameras.
ART DIRECTION & MAKE UP- a look at the production design at make-up of the film including building part of the apartment on a stage to do the wire work required in one sequence.
CHILD'S PLAY- a behind-the-scenes chronicle of the four year old kid hired to play the little kid in the movie.
INTERVIEW WITH CARLES TORRENS- an 18 minute interview with the director as he talks abut APARTMENT 143 (EMERGO)

FINAL ANALYSIS:  If you're looking for a movie without cheap scares and less than annoying characters, watch APARTMENT 143 and skip the latest PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.
