A group of fight club friends (skilled in various martial arts) dream of making it big in Hollywood.  They win a fight competition and think they finally got their chance to work in action films as a  stunt team.   They celebrate that night only to find themselves fighting for their lives in the morning.   They must fight to survive and also rescue their loved ones.

BKO: BANGKOK KNOCKOUT has a simple plot.   What makes it stand out in the Asian action arena are the series of martial arts fights.    The idea for the film was to get nine people with various martial arts disciplines together and stage fight scenes different from each other with the intent of fights being unlike the ones seen in other films.    The action is impressive to watch as they up the ante with each fight.   You even have the basic rules of people getting hurt and follow the usual plot clichés for characters in action films (we must fight to survive, rescue the girl, etc).    Who cares if people are betting on people forced to fight against a team of various bad guys and ninjas?!   The action scenes are the main attraction of this film.   They are a knockout- with each bad guy being tougher to stop and sometimes the fight club of friends having to run away with the film climaxing with a battle royale between everyone.

SPECIAL FETAURES:

The two featurettes are in 1.33:1.

MAKING OF BKO: BANGKOK KNOCKOUT is filled with interviews with cast and crew as they talk about how they trained, how the film came together, and working with each other.

The BEHIND THE SCENES fetaurette is the usual boring behind-the-scenes footage roll from the production.

Rounding out the extras are the theatrical trailer and previews for other Magnolia home Entertainment releases.

FINAL ANALYSIS-  BKO: BANGKOK KNOCKOUT has a series of impressively staged and filmed action scenes.     The extras are poor, but you will be tuned in for fight scene after fight scene.
