Sandra (Ann Dowd), a high strung manager of a fast food place, gets a call from a guy who says he is a cop on a busy Friday night.  The cop says one of Sandra's employees, Becky (Dreama Walker) stole from a customer.  Sandra and others obey the voice on the other end as he makes them believe they are doing the right thing.   COMPLIANCE is a movie on how authority can be abused in the process of obeying someone you think is a figure of authority.  COMPLIANCE is a disturbing movie that sticks with you as you wonder on why no one said no to what the voice on the other end says to do.   It is not an easy film to watch as you are shouting and screaming at the things characters do in this movie which is inspired by true events that happened in fast food places.  COMPLIANCE isn't an easy movie to watch as it puts people into the position of victim and abuser all in the name of obeying someone who says they are a figure of authority.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
BEHIND THE SCENES OF COMPLIANCE

INTERVIEW WITH DIRECTOR CRAIG ZOBEL is one of the better extras where he points people are more likely to do the stuff in Compliance more than you think (according to studies).

AXS TV: A LOOK AT COMPLIANCE that is a promotional piece that has interviews with Ann Dowd and Craig Zobel.

Rounding out the extras are the theatrical trailer and previews for other releases from Magnolia Home Entertainment/ Magnolia Pictures.

FINAL ANALYSIS:  COMPLIANCE is a disturbing movie that makes you wonder how far one would go in obeying a figure of authority.  It is one of those movies that makes you want to shout and scream at the characters in a movie inspired by true events.
