TAKERS is a forgettable and yet enjoyable action heist film.   The characters are thin, but the action scenes are staged well.   The film follows a gang of thieves who plan a heist that is presented to them by Ghost (one of their own who went to prison and holds a grudge against them).   TAKERS goes back and forth between the thieves and the cop who is hunting them.   You don't care for the cop and think the thieves are studs.   It is stylish and yet it doesn't hold a candle to such great heist films like HEAT.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

Audio commentary with diorector John Luessenhop, producer Will Packer, producer Jason Geter, and actor Tip “T.I.” Harris,   They discuss the various aspects of the production, scenes that got cut from the final version, and T.I. Harris jokes about a TAKERS sequel/ prequel.

Yeah Ya Know (Takers) by T.I. Music Promo is  a little catchy.   I do wish the making of featurette was on the DVD (it is only on the Blu-ray).

FINAL ANALYSIS:   TAKERS has some good action sequences.  It is full of style, but it is too low on character and a story to make this one forgettable after you're done wwatching it.
