GEMINI MAN is an action thriller from director Ang Lee. It is a movie stuck in development hell for twenty years before it got made. The movie revolves around aging sniper Henry Brogan (Will Smith) who works for the Defense Intelligence Agency. Henry decides to retire after he feels his last job was too close to screwing up. He starts to find out the last job wasn't on the up and up. It makes him a target and he goes on the run with his new handler Danny (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). One of the DIA, Clay (Clive Owen), sends a perfect assassin after Henry whom Henry discovers is his clone. Henry and Danny try to unravel the truth behind the clone and why Henry was made a target.

The story and acting is solid, and seeing Will Smith in two versions is impressive. Some of the de-aging CGI is terrific, but some of the CGI used for the action sequences looks a little dodgy from time to time.

FINAL ANALYSIS: GEMINI MAN is an entertaining action film with some special effects work is great where sometimes it is a little too much CGI wizardy. The best featurettes go into how they created a younger Will Smith and had Will play both versions of himself.
