Sam Elliot is Calvin Barr, a retired military assassin who goes through the motions every day in the small town where he grew up. He has a secret past where he killed Hitler during World War 2, but it was all covered up. One day, the government visits him and asks him to go kill Bigfoot who is spreading a virus that will kill many human lives. They picked Calvin because he has immunity to the virus and he has a special set of skills to get the job done.

THE MAN WHO KILLED HITLER AND THEN THE BIGFOOT is a hell of a title for a movie as it partially touches on what the movie is about and feels like it could be a B movie you would have seen at a drive-in theater or rented in the days of VHS. Instead it is a nuanced character drama that goes back and forth between young Calvin and old Calvin. I do wish the movie could have had it a little more fun and made it more tongue-in-cheek like the title has one think.

FINAL ANALYSIS: THE MAN WHO KILLED HITLER AND THEN THE BIGFOOT is a character study that I wished wasn't as low-key as it ended up being and had more fun with the title concept.
