Martin (Cristobal Tapia-Montt) is a stranger that comes to town to kill his wife Ana when he finds out she has been dead for years.   Martin is infected with a dangerous disease that makes him addicted to blood (aka vampire) that gives him amazing healing powers and a dangerous aversion to sunlight.  He is brutally attacked by three thugs lead by Caleb and his supposed death is covered up by Caleb’s father- a police lieutenant, but Martin is rescued by a kid named Peter.  It sets up a chain reaction that leads to more violence and blood.  Writer/ Director Guillermo Amoedo has created an intense vampire movie which was filmed in Chile.  It is a well cast movie with a good script. THE STRANEGR sucks you in as it unfolds through the events in the present and flashbacks as it spins and entertaining vampire movie worth at least a rental plus I wait to see the director’s next movie.

FINAL ANALYSIS:  THE STRANGER is an entertaining vampire movie that is at least worth a rental and Guillermo Amoedo is a director to watch if he creates another horror movie as intense as this one.
