A distressed cab driver (on the run from her past and a possessed woman) runs into a broken down German police station where she is interviewed by a psychologist, but everyone is in danger as the truth of her night is revealed. LUZ is an impressive debut film from director Tilman Signer who started this out as a student film which grew into a feature length film. It looks very atmospheric for the low budget that it was probably made on. Most of the movie takes place in one room and the 16mm film it shot on also lends to the vibes of terror as it builds over the course of 71 minutes. LUZ is destined to be a Euro Horror cult classic. It is a film inspired by 1970s and 1980s horror and matches contemporary directors like Panos Cosmatos and Richard Stanley.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
An interview with director Tilman Singer reveals the origins of the movie's story and how a student film became a feature length film shot on 16mm

Two short films by director Tilman Singer:

The International theatrical trailer and US theatrical trailer for LUZ are included on the disc in addition to four other films on disc from Screen Media and Altered Innocence.
Inside the blu-ray case is a foldout poster for LUZ and reversible cover art

FINAL ANALYSIS: LUZ is an intense and hypnotic horror film that will stay with you despite the low budget it was made on. I can't wait to see what future films Tilman Signer directs.
