ACCION MUTANE (aka MUTANT ACTION) is a crazy sci-fi comedy that I wanted to see for about 30 years. It does live up to the hype. It takes place in a dystopian future where the wealthy and attractive rule. A disabled terrorist organization known as Mutant Action decides to kidnap an heiress and things go wrong along the way with the plan as the father of heiress wants to double cross the terrorist group and the leader of mutant Action wants to double cross his own men. I feel sorry that North American audiences didn't get the best exposure to director Alex De La Iglesia until now. This is my second film of the director's that I am reviewing on 4K blu-ray from Severin Films. ACCION MUTANTE is a deranged and creative film with a wild imagination from the director and all involved in creating this cult masterpiece.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
The only extra on the 4K UHD disc is the audio commentary. The blu-ray has the audio commentary with several interviews, storyboards, a music video, and the theatrical trailer

FINAL ANALYSIS: ACCION MUTANTE is a bonkers sci-fi cult classic. Too bad it was only a limited edition because it was only made available for Severin Films Black Friday Sale. Great extras round out this release and I wish it didn't take so long for the movie to make it's physical media release and I hope Severin does a standard release soon for the ones who didn't get it during their sale (Update- it is now back in print).
