LOST season 4 continues to bring the show back on course. The flash forwards create a new sense of mystrey. Still the flashbacks aren't finished as they figure into three episodes (including THE OTHER WOMAN) and another episode has one character going back and forth between two time periods in his life (THE CONSTANT). Now the end has set everything up for season 5 when the Oceanic Six (the ones who got off the island they crashed on) must find a way back to the isaland they left (and what went wrong on the island after they left). This season is the strongest since the first one. LOST provides more questions as they answer others. You find out who got off the island while providing what happened to them since (and one episode tricking you to the very end). Locke tells Jack that he will have to lie when he gets off the island and those lies will eat him up until he comes back (Locke's right). Hats off to the actors who play Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Desmond (his wanting to get back with Penny is one of the most interesting story arcs), and Sayid. Those three characters and even Ben (the leader of the Others who wants to keep the island safe) outshine the central love triangle of Jack, Kate, and Sawyer.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
Audio commentaries were recorded for THE BEGINNING OF THE END, THE CONSTANT, JI YEON (featuring Daniel Dae Kim and Yunjin Kim), and THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME Part 2 (where the producers make a few jokes while talking about the season finale).

LOST IN 8:15 is a eight minutes and 10 seconds recap of the first three seasons (too bad they couldn't make it last five seconds longer)

Several featurettes go behind the scenes on disc 5 and 6.
THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS- a look at the guns in the series
THE ISLAND BACKLOT: LOST IN HAWAII- how they use Hawaii and Honolulu for every location in the series except for four scenes out of the entire series.
SOUNDTRACK OF SURVIVAL: composing for character, conflict, & THE CRASH- a look at creating and recording the music of LOST, the composer come sup with themes for each chcaracter. the cast even talk about teh music. also see the music being rewritten for a performance by the Honolulu Symphony
LOST ON LOCATION- several insightful featurettes that go behind-the-scenes of eight episodes. Also an easter egg is located at the bottom of the menu for the featurettes that features the actor playing Ben
OFFSHORE SHOOT (disc 6)- behind-the-scenes of shooting on the boat that stood in for the freighter
THE FREIGHTER FOLK (disc 6)- all about the characters of the freighter

Nine deleted scenes and over three minutes of bloopers are also included (on disc 5). For those wanting new LOST, you can watch the 13 LOST: MISSING PIECES mobisodes (which originally aired on ABC's web site and are on disc 6 of this set) that range from 2 to three minutes each as they provie little story pieces that fill in the blanks for certain things in seasons 1 to 3.
COURSE OF THE FUTURE: THE DEFINITIVE FLASH-FORWARDS (disc 6) has about 50 minutes of the flash-forwards tied in a chronological narrative.
THE OCEANIC SIX: A CONSPIRACY OF LIES (disc 6)- a mock-documentary that sheds doubt on the crash of Oceanic 815 and where the six survivors were at.

Also included in the set is a funny guide to flying Oceanic Airlines.

FINAL ANALYSIS- LOST Season 4 is the strongest season since the first one. Plenty of extras to entertain and look behind-the-scenes.
